Florida Exotic Car Payment Calculator

Work out the monthly payment on an exotic or luxury car. Put in the price, what you are putting down, any trade-in allowance, the APR a lender quoted you and the number of months. You get the monthly payment, the amount financed, the total of payments and the total finance charge.

It is an estimate, not an offer of credit. AutoVault is not a lender, so the APR box starts empty: the rate belongs to whichever lender writes the loan. Nothing you type here is sent to us or to anyone else.

The tool

Estimate your monthly payment.

Purchase finance only. No lease, no balloon payment and no deferred payment. Change any figure and the result below updates as you type.

  • Nothing to sign up for, no email, no credit check
  • Your trade-in allowance comes off the amount financed, the same way a lender treats it

Payment estimate

Purchase finance. The estimate appears once an APR is in the box.
The car

20% of $100,000.00 is $20,000.00 down.

The loan

Longer terms open up as the amount financed grows, so the tool never offers a term no lender writes on a small amount. Where those thresholds come from is set out under what changes the payment.

Enter the APR your lender quoted and the estimate appears here.

Estimate only. Not an offer of credit.

This is an estimate based on the numbers you enter, not an offer of credit or a commitment to lend. AutoVault is not a lender. Financing is arranged through third-party lenders and is subject to credit approval; not all applicants will qualify. Rates, terms and down payment requirements vary by lender, applicant credit profile and vehicle. The estimate leaves out Florida sales tax, the county surtax, tag, title and registration, and our $695 title, tag and docs fee: work those out with the Florida tax, tag and title calculator.

Example

One worked example, with every figure shown.

Round illustrative numbers, not a car we have in stock and not a rate any lender has quoted. It is here so the arithmetic is on the page before you type anything, and so you can see what the recap under a payment is supposed to tell you.

Example

$100,000 car, 20% down, 72 months

The 8.5% APR below is an example rate chosen to show the arithmetic. It is not a quote and no lender has offered it.
$1,422.27a month, in this example
Amount financed$80,000.00
Total of payments$102,403.44
Total finance charge$22,403.44

$20,000.00 down (20% of the price), 72 monthly payments of $1,422.27 at 8.5% APR, total of payments $102,403.44. Estimate only. Not an offer of credit.

AutoVault is not a lender. Financing is arranged through third-party lenders and is subject to credit approval; not all applicants will qualify. The APR, the term and the down payment in a real deal are set by the lender, not by this page.

The arithmetic

How the payment is worked out.

Four steps, and they are the same four every lender uses on a simple interest purchase loan.

  1. 1
  2. 2
  3. 3
  4. 4

The tool uses the APR you type as the rate on the loan, divided by twelve for each month. Those two are the same figure only when there is no prepaid finance charge, so the estimate errs slightly high rather than low. Read it as a round number, not as a figure accurate to the cent.

Three levers

What changes the payment.

Only three things move the monthly figure, and they do not move it by the same amount.

The down payment

Every dollar you put down, and every dollar of trade-in allowance, comes straight off the amount financed. It lowers the payment and the total finance charge together, which is the only one of the three levers that does both without a catch.

The term

A longer term spreads the same amount over more months, so the payment falls and the total finance charge rises. In the table further down you can read both effects off the same row. The tool offers 84 months once the amount financed reaches $10,000, 96 months from $25,000 and 120 months from $50,000. Those three thresholds are the published term tiers of Woodside Credit, a specialty lender for classic and exotic cars, read on 2026-09-19. AutoVault is not that lender, quotes none of its rates, and longer terms than these exist through specialty lenders.

The APR

The rate is the lender's, and it depends on credit, the age of the car, the amount and the term. We publish no rate here because we are not the lender and a rate we cannot arrange would be worth nothing to you. Put in the APR you have actually been quoted, or try two or three figures to see how much the rate is worth.

Before you budget

What the estimate leaves out.

The payment above is worked out on the amount you finance and nothing else. In Florida the rest is separate, and most of it lands at the tag office rather than with the lender.

Two of our other tools cover the rest: the Florida tax, tag and title calculator for the out the door figure, and the car storage cost calculator if the car is going into storage rather than a driveway.

Math only, not a rate quote

Payment per $10,000 financed.

Read the figure off the row for the APR and the column for the term, then multiply it by the amount you finance divided by 10,000. On $80,000 financed you multiply it by 8. The APRs are round numbers picked to show the shape of the arithmetic. No lender has offered them, and this table is not a rate quote.

Monthly payment on $10,000 financed, by APR down the side and term in months across the top
APR36 months48 months60 months72 months84 months
6%$304.22$234.85$193.33$165.73$146.09
7%$308.77$239.46$198.01$170.49$150.93
8%$313.36$244.13$202.76$175.33$155.86
9%$318.00$248.85$207.58$180.26$160.89
10%$322.67$253.63$212.47$185.26$166.01
11%$327.39$258.46$217.42$190.34$171.22

Each figure is the monthly payment on $10,000 financed, repaid over the number of months at the head of the column, at the APR on the left, with nothing put down against that $10,000 and no trade-in. Multiply it up and the total of payments is that figure times the number of months. Estimate only. Not an offer of credit. AutoVault is not a lender: financing is arranged through third-party lenders and is subject to credit approval.

South Florida

Financing an exotic car in South Florida.

Buyers come to us from North Miami and North Miami Beach, from Aventura, and from the coastal towns just east of us across the bay: Sunny Isles Beach, Golden Beach, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands and Surfside. Miami Beach, Brickell, Coral Gables and Key Biscayne are to the south of us, Hallandale Beach and Fort Lauderdale to the north along I-95, and a good share of our buyers are out of state altogether. Wherever you start from, the application is the same one, and we take it to the lenders we work with rather than to one bank.

AutoVault is not a lender. We arrange financing through third-party lenders, subject to credit approval, and not all applicants will qualify. Exotic and luxury cars are usually written by lenders that specialize in them, and the APR, the term and the down payment in a real deal are set by that lender, which is why the calculator above asks you for a rate rather than suggesting one.

The payment itself does not care where you live. It is the amount financed, the APR and the number of months, and a buyer in Aventura and a buyer in Fort Lauderdale with the same three figures get the same payment. What changes by address is the tax, tag and title side, where the county on your registration sets the surtax. Miami-Dade, which takes in North Miami, Aventura, Miami Beach, Brickell and Coral Gables, charges 1 percent on the first $5,000 of the taxable amount; Broward, which is Hallandale Beach and Fort Lauderdale, is also 1 percent; Palm Beach is 0.5 percent for 2026. Use the Florida tax, tag and title calculator for the whole out the door figure, or go straight to the page for Miami-Dade County, Broward County or Palm Beach County.

Questions

Payment calculator FAQs

Take the price, subtract your down payment and any trade-in allowance, and what is left is the amount financed. Divide the APR by 1200 to get a monthly rate. The payment is the amount financed times that monthly rate, divided by one minus (1 plus the monthly rate) raised to the power of minus the number of months. When the rate is zero the payment is simply the amount financed divided by the number of months.
Every dollar of down payment or trade-in allowance comes off the amount financed, so it lowers the monthly payment and the total finance charge together. The table on this page gives the monthly payment on each ten thousand dollars financed, so you can read off what a larger down payment takes away.
No. The estimate covers the amount you finance and nothing else. Florida sales tax, the county surtax, tag, title and registration, and our $695 title, tag and docs fee, are separate. Work those out with the Florida tax, tag and title calculator on this site.
No. The monthly payment is worked out from the amount financed, the APR and the number of months, and none of those depends on where you live. A buyer in Aventura and a buyer in Fort Lauderdale with the same three figures get the same payment. What changes by county is the discretionary sales surtax on the tax, tag and title side, and it applies only to the first $5,000 of the taxable amount, so it is $50 in Miami-Dade or Broward and $25 in Palm Beach for 2026. The Florida tax, tag and title calculator has a page for each county.
Yes. Exotic and luxury cars are financed regularly, usually through lenders that specialize in them rather than an ordinary bank. AutoVault is not a lender. We take the application and arrange financing through third-party lenders, subject to credit approval.

No. It asks nothing about you, it runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or to anyone else. No credit check happens and no application is started.
